TREKKING WITH A PROFESSIONAL AGENCY

Many travel agencies and organizations based in other countries operate treks for groups to various regions of Nepal. The actual arrangements for the treks are customarily handled by one of the approved trekking agencies in Nepal. Treks are organized for both large and small groups and are usually conducted by Sherpa Guides called Sardars, who are often famous for their Mountaineering on Himalayan Expeditions. The guides speak sufficient English to allay fears of language difficulties. The parties usually camp in tents near villages and skilled cook prepare fine meals. Most of the necessary equipments are provided by the agencies. Trekking with agencies means there is a company to complain to if there are problems, something that is important to visitors.

Entire programs activities are handled by qualified Tour Operators and highly experienced Sherpa Guides those who have climbed several times over 8,000 meterhigh mountains.

Visitors should completely avoid in choosing illegal agency for conducting trekking and tours programs. Those illegal agencies use to make very attractive advertisement in website persuading foreign visitors. It is very risky and has no guarantee. If something happens there would be no place to report or complain anything.

Therefore, it is compulsorily necessary to deal with an organization which is Registered with Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and having affiliation with Nepal Mountaineering Association, NMA. When it is chosen the right organization, trekking, mountaineering and entire tours programs of the visitors in Nepal will appear within the frame of legal process and prevailing procedures.

Agency trek parties usually have to follow predetermined route and schedule and members of large parties generally keep together. Trekkers in these professionally organized parties are usually rather insulated from the local people encountered enroute. Indeed, the participants tend to relate exclusively to one another, to the guides and to other employees of the trek.

Certain areas, such as the regions around Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Mustang and upper Dolpa, are only open to trekkers going through an agency. This is an attempt by the Government to lesson the environmental impact.

Organized treks are especially suited for those who have neither the time nor the desire to make their own arrangement but wish to enjoy scenery of the country. In choosing a trek, many factors must be considered. Among them are the time available, strength and ability of the member of the party and the desires of the trekkers. Certain treks offer majestic Mountain scenery, others a glimpse of hill life in Nepal, still others spectacular floral displays. Route can be linked to provide many different experiences. Some entail entering potentially dangerous mountain terrain. Finally, the time of the year is very important, as certain treks are difficult and is not possible during heavy snow-falls and others are most uncomfortable in the pre-monsoon heat.

All the cooking, including meals for the porters, is done in kerosene and sometimes used cooking gas on the lower altitude. Porters are provided with sufficient equipment so they don’t need to huddle around fire at night to keep warm and can deal adequately with the condition. Considering the scarcity of fire wood in Nepal, it is necessary for the trekker, going with an agency to choose one that minimizes the impact on the environment.

This organization always expedite searching new trekking peaks and trekking routes to ensure, comfort and convenience, safety and security and affords great and unique experiences. To trek, one does not have to be brave, neither a mountaineer nor an athlete, anyone who is sound and healthy with the spirit for adventure to explore the exotic will enjoy the thrills of trekking on the hills of Nepal.

Presently, for forth coming seasons we have chosen 8 New Peaks on the Himalayan Ranges. The heights of the peaks are between 6 to 6.8 thousand meters. These are new discovery, very likely suitable for peak climbers. We have already submitted relevant reports and requested for Peak Open permission to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation. It requires following the same procedure like an agency trek in order to climb on the new peaks.

The fabulous scene of the World’s Highest Peaks glow and burn like candle at sundown and sparkle when moon shine. Green valleys with turbulent rivers, rhododendron forests teeming with countless wildlife are aside. Hindus and Buddhists Temples, Pagodas, Shrines and Religious Sacred places along the trekking routes enable to give more than insight into the spiritual life and history of Nepal will remain a memorable experience in life. The attained experience is extremely rewarding and rejuvenation.
